First of all, congratulations to Angie, Sydney and Kimberly for completing their observation hours!  Candace reported that YARNELL put all of our dogs to shame! She said he was absolutely brilliant in school with all types of kids and all kinds of classrooms.  We are so excited and thankful to have Kimberly and YARNELL our our paws4people team!

These past two days have been a real adventure.  SOLOMON and I visited FPC Alderson with Terry and Diana.  Alderson, located about 50 miles east of Beckley, WV, is our newest perspective prison program.  This is an absolutely fantastic opportunity for us.  If invited, the inmates at Alderson would train shelter/rescue dogs for paws4vets.  We were warmly welcomed by the warden and all the staff.  Everyone we saw (staff and inmates) wanted to pet SOLOMON and CHAENEY (one of Terry's goldens who works as a psychiatric service dog).  The women were VERY excited at the prospect of having a dog program.  So many of them said how good it was just to touch a dog again and one woman cried after petting CHAENEY for just a few moments.  Our two dogs behaved very well and were excellent ambassadors for paws4people.   Many people fell in love with them immediately and a few asked if they could take them home.  We are thrilled at the prospect of getting to work more closely with everyone at Alderson.  We also thank them for the opportunity of coming to visit and presenting our training program!
