We had a wonderful group together for pizza, salad and dessert. The more we join together, the more it feels like family. Everyone had a great time visiting and eating. Jack was the life of the party (as usual) and SOLOMON loved all the attention.
Today was a big day for SOLOMON. We had Angie, Sydney and Kimberly up from the Wilmington chapter to complete their dog observations. The three girls observed SOLOMON and I as we had our weekly session with the three boys at my former school, Fred L. Wilson Elementary. Next we went to visit Ashley and KOJAK at Royal Oaks Elementary. After lunch at the mall (which, of course SOLOMON joined us), we went to Candace's school, Cox Mill Elementary, where Candace lined us up with a bunch of classrooms. Angie, Sydney and Kimberly were able to observe SOLOMON in action working with kids one-on-one, in small groups and in a classroom setting with both regular education kids and special needs kids . Candace really put us through our paces! It was a very successful day that ended with a round of applause for SOLOMON turning off and on classroom lights (the kids really loved that one!) SOLOMON was in seventh heaven with all the kids today! He really shines when he is working at school. You can tell he just can't believe his luck in getting to spend time with the kids. He was completely worn out after getting home though. Marcie reported that he came in the house, laid under the table and didn't move for hours!
