Adventures with CAYLIE and CAMDEN

Hey everyone!
It's been way too long since I have blogged and I apologize for that.

Let me fill you in a bit.
CAYLIE was here for about three weeks in September to work with Jack, Lisa and Elliot but also to attend a fundraiser at my former elementary school, Fred L. Wilson Elementary in Kannapolis. CAYLIE, Lisa, Jack and I gave a presentation about paws4people and how CAYLIE will help Jack. The staff was blown away and overwhelmingly voted for Jack and CAYLIE to be this year's building-wide fundraiser. The kids will be bringing in change to help raise money for CAYLIE. This week CAMDEN and I will be doing presentations at the school for the kids to show them what service dogs can do.

At the end of September I returned CAYLIE to Heidi and got CAMDEN back. The day he and I arrived home from the prison, I was also expecting my parents to arrive about 30 minutes after I arrived. My in-laws dropped Fiona off, I let the dogs out, Paco and CAMDEN when having a great reunion in the living room when I heard a really disturbing noise. I came around the corner and poor CAMDEN was pooping the biggest pile of dog diarrhea I've ever seen in the middle of my living room carpet. I yelled "HEY!!!!" and (to his credit) he stopped. I rushed him outside and he finished. I rushed back in told Fiona not to move from the couch and proceeded to clean up the mess as Fiona argued with me about how she needed to help. I ran to the laundry room to get some cleaner, opened the cabinet door and a glass bottle fell and shattered all over the floor. AAUUGGGHHH! I cleaned up the glass, cleaned up the poop and was vacuuming when my parents came in. Unfortunately the house smelled like dog poop until the next morning (baking soda helped here). When it rains, it poors!

CAMDEN was better in a few days and was back visiting Alex last Thursday. Alex threw a tennis ball for CAMDEN with his mom's help and laughed so hard I thought he'd never stop. CAMDEN and I also went to therapy with Jack this morning. Had a great time and CAMDEN did a really nice job being calmer than our last visit :) Here are some pictures of our visit last Thursday and one from therapy today. Enjoy!
