Funny CAMDEN story and CAYLIE update

So last week CAMDEN and I made a trip both to Alderson and then Hazleton. When I made the hotel reservation for the Microtel across the street from the prison at Hazleton, I told them I had a service dog. When I arrived they had reserved a handicapped accessible room complete with handicapped accessible shower. CAMDEN showed a bit of interest in it but I didn't think using this shower would really pose any problem. Well, the next morning while I was washing my hair in the shower, I turned around and CAMDEN was halfway in the shower, head soaking wet, licking the air where all the spare droplets of water were falling. HA! He was a sight to behold!

While at Hazleton, I switched CAMDEN and CAYLIE for a short amount of time so that CAYLIE could come do some fundraising activities at Fred L. Wilson Elementary School with Jack. She is doing great and made the transition to my and Marcie's house quite well. (CAMDEN is getting lots of great public access training time with Heidi in Morgantown in the meantime.) On Thursday we'll have our big presentation at school and in the days following, present and demo for each grade level K-4. CAYLIE and Jack will be Fred L.'s fundraiser this year. Yahoo! It's a great school with great kids, a fantastic principal and staff (I used to work there so I'm super biased!)

P.S. Paco and Juno (my two dogs) adore CAYLIE. I have never seen any dog quite as adept at calming signals as she is. Paco thinks she's a blast and she put Juno right at ease with her sensitivity to communicating calmness.
