Azalea Festival-Day 2

First of all, a HUGE thank you to Angie for organizing everyone, creating shifts, setting up the tent, making the booth look wonderful, filling in where needed, making lunch, welcoming Candace, SOLOMON and I (once again) with open arms into your home, feeding us wonderful meals, structuring Sunday so that Candace and I could leave and get home at a decent hour...and for all the other behind-the-scenes support you provided that I didn't know about. You are indispensable! It would not have been a success without you-thank you again and again!

Thank you also to everyone who volunteered a part of their weekend to work a shift, set up and take down the booth. Your time is much appreciated!

Today was day 2 of the Azalea Festival. The crowds were not as heavy today but seemed to pick up by 11 or 11:30. Candace, SOLOMON and I worked 9-1 so we could get on the road and get home by late afternoon. SOLOMON once again was wonderful with the crowds; babies, kids, strollers, food, noise makers, pop guns, trash on the ground, other dogs, adults of all shapes and sizes interacting in all kinds ways-he took it all in stride and enjoyed every moment. We were joined once again with the master-of-street-fair- interactions, KOJAK and also one of our newest shining stars of the Wilmington p4p branch-YARNELL. The crazy stuff that happens at an event like this never ceases to amaze me. Our dogs handled it without going crazy-just another day at work. But, then again, that is why they can do the jobs they do-they must be bomb-proof! The Azalea Festival prooves it!
