SOLOMON had a great week last week. He went to school to see his boys on Tuesday. They enjoy reading with him so much. They all just light up when they walk in the room and see SOLOMON's big goofy grin and wagging tail. Tomorrow we will be adding another student to the list. We are anxious to get started with her. Wednesday, SOLOMON had another demo at Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church in Charlotte. This is the Crisp's family church. Their youth group is helping with Alex's fundraising and they were VERY excited to have SOLOMON show off his skills. Candace and I both agree that this was SOLOMON's best demo to date. He was calm and quiet when he needed to be (without any figiting) and ready to show of his skills when I said "SOLOMON, ready?" The kids really seemed to enjoy him. In fact, many of the adult leaders said the kids were more quiet (listening and paying attention) then any other week! Many of the girls stayed behind and asked question after question about SOLOMON's training. It was wonderful to see so much interest!
SOLOMON came over and spent the weekend with Jason, Fiona and I (and of course Paco and Juno). Candace ran a half marathon (contratulations!) and so her mom and dad kept LANIE. LANIE and SOLOMON together are a whole lot of chaos, so SOLOMON hung out at my house to cut down on the craziness. Paco and SOLOMON get along VERY well and played nearly non-stop. Juno doesn't love SOLOMON and so had to learn to tolerate his adolescent-teenage-boy ways. SOLOMON finally got used to Fiona walking around the house and let her play without licking her face all the time. Fiona learned how to say "release", "heel" and "leave it" while SOLOMON was here. (I swear I didn't deliberately teach her these commands!)
This week SOLOMON, Terry and I head back to Alderson to conduct interviews for our new prison program. Yahoo!
