A Rompin' Good Time

Yesterday, Fiona, CAMDEN and I went down to visit Alex, Kathy and Matt. We had a fantastic time. I think Alex was beside himself between having CAMDEN as well as a cute girl to play with him (Fiona of course!) I don't think I've seen Alex grin that big for that length of time ever! I don't know which one of the kids (CAMDEN, Alex or Fiona) had the better time. Before playing we did make CAMDEN work, which to him is playing anyway-so I guess it was all play for that boy...He practiced sits and downs. Took Alex's socks off several times, practiced retrieving socks, wallets and keys with Matt with and without the laser pointer, took a couple rides in the elevator practicing with the buttons, and walked in a beautiful heel with Kathy and Alex as we took a stroll around the neighborhood. After all this fun everyone went upstairs and Fiona thought she had gone to heaven right then and there. If the cookie that Ms. Kathy gave her, her new friend Alex, the dinosaurs in Alex's bedroom and the walk around the neighborhood hadn't done it, this did! The reason is because Alex has the most incredible playroom, complete with mats, swings, stuffed animals three times bigger than Fiona, toys mounted on the wall, ribbons-whoa! She had warmed up to Alex while we were walking; running in circles and coming back to him saying "I'm coming to get you!", but in the play room, they lay on the mat together with CAMDEN all rolling on their backs and giggling up a storm. CAMDEN and Alex thoroughly enjoyed each others company; Alex let out peals of squeals and laughter every time CAMDEN kissed him and laid close so he could put his hands and feet in his soft fur. Nap time? Forget nap time! What could be better than a dog and a friend?!?
