Sweet TAYLOR

Hey Everyone,

I am sending out a plea for help to find TAYLOR a forever home. I selected this sweet girl to go into our prison program at Alderson. After being in the program for a month, I had to bring her home last week as prison life proved to be a bit to stressful for her. She is a wonderful, loving, extremely affectionate girl. I think she would make a great therapy dog. She has learned sit, down, stay, wave, turn and heel while at the prison. She's good with other dogs (I havn't seen her with cats yet) and good with kids (she was very good with Fiona who is 2 1/2). She's spayed, heartworm tested and is up to date on her shots. She is about 35 lbs and a basinji/terrier mix. She is being fostered through the Cabarrus Pet Society-www.cabarruspets.com. (She is not yet back on their website since taking her up to the prison.) She can be seen every Saturday from 11-1 at their adoption fair in Kannapolis.

TAYLOR's story: TAYLOR was found as a stray and brought to a shelter in Taylorsville, NC (hence her name). The next day she had a litter of 10 puppies. On the third day at the shelter, she was discovered by a Cabarrus Pet Society volunteer. The volunteer was told that if TAYLOR and the pups weren't adopted by the next day, they were all to be put down. TAYLOR and her babies were rescued. The volunteer took care of all 11 of them and has been bringing them to the Cabarrus Pet Society to be adopted for the last two months.

TAYLOR would be a fantastic companion, she has therapy dog potential, she has already learned several commands. She is laid back, has low exercise requirements and loves to snuggle. I will be happy to answer any inquiries and fill in any details about my experiences with TAYLOR. Please help spread the word about this great girl!
