p4p presentation in Wheeling, WV

So as promised, today was a very eventful day. Don't worry, they were good events!! Terry, ADDIE, SOLOMON, CAYLIE, and I went to West Virginia Northern Community College to present paws4people to a group of about 30 people. It was a teacher re-certification class and they were focusing on the human animal bond. We kind of mis-judged how long it would take us to get to Wheeling from Morgantown so we arrived 3 hours early. So we took the liberty of touring the streets of downtown Wheeling. What a beautiful little town! We also met a guy that is very interested in getting a dog because he has hearing loss and balance issues. Then for our briefing we had everyones complete attention. I briefed them on the paws4prisons program and Terry briefed them on every other paws4people branch of the program. I was surprisingly not nervous!! I guess Terry is training me pretty well! I also have to congratulate Terry on an excellent reading demo with SOLOMON! Terry was extremely tickled to say the least! We'll turn him into a trainer yet! CAYLIE also showed off her talents of turning the lights on and off. Of course all 3 dogs worked the crowd and got tons of love! I had a lot of people afterwards tell me how much they enjoyed learning about our organization. Yay! They more people that know about us the better! After the presentation was over it was time to head back to Morgantown. By the time we got back to Morgantown we were starving. Somehow we missed lunch. So we went to Chili's. CAYLIE went in with us and of course was awesome!

CAYLIE and I are just chilling after a big day. Between her naps she just makes me laugh. During her stay with me I have learned two things about her. First of all I think she thinks that she is a cow not a dog. Every plant and flower she is around instead of sniffing it, she eats it! Crazy child! Also she thinks it is her mission in life to keep the water bowl empty. So guess what I do all the time--fill the water bowl. At least she won't be dehydrated. Never a dull moment with dogs! They always keep you laughing! Did I mention I LOVE my job!!
